I stayed my hand from posting this one on Twitter, but I've been "Embroiled In Some Controversy" for the last 2 days gamers and it's driving me fucking bozonkers.
I got to the last panel but I couldn't get the text to fit nicely and then I realized it works better on its own with the subtext I think.
ALTBREAKING: Donald Trump gets ensnared in a bizarre new international scandal as it's revealed that "senior Israeli figures" have been desperately trying for three years to recover a set of priceless antiquities from him.
The ancient items were lent to the White House for a 2019 Hannukah celebration and are being held by Trump at Mar-a-Lago.
The artifacts include a set of ceramic oil lamps said to be part of a collection of Israeli national treasures. They were supposed to be returned after a few weeks.
Israeli officials blame the failure to return the items on a "bureaucratic difficulty," the breakout of COVID-19, and some kind of "misunderstanding." Supposedly, it's unknown whether Trump knows the lamps are at Mar-a-Lago.
The likeliest scenario is that he is very aware. As he so often does, the habitually criminal Trump has probably just decided to keep them for himself.
One source joked that he wouldn't be surprised if "the items Israel seeks are also eventually found in some bathroom" at Mar-a-Lago just like the boxes of stolen classified documents were discovered.
It's time for another investigation.
He's undoubtedly a criminal. But he also seems to be a bit of a pack rat or possibly even a hoarder. Once he likes something, he seems to think of it as being "his," even if it isn't.
I mean, if you dumb enough to give trump something priceless, you kinda deserve to be robbed.

the reason you're meant to read from a bunch of different sources and attempt to interpret and discuss them in school btw is bc your reading comprehension is based on your ability to discern different and varied meanings in a text
like some ppl on socmed wilfully misinterpret text and so many others entirely lack this critical skill and rely on tiktokers and youtubers to explain sentences to them and in the absence of someone to explain they just entirely go off their own projected vibes and make shit up
like it's. honestly frightening and bizarre, the takes i regularly see, that are so far beyond a "bad faith reading" and are literally not a reading. someone just saw three words they recognised, imagined a scenario they might be used in instead of reading the post, then got MAD
